Afforestation

When establishing a new forest, much depends on the decisions made at the outset: choosing the right tree species and seedlings, understanding the characteristics of the site, preparing the land, and determining the right planting method. At Alias Forest, we do not treat these as separate tasks. We approach the process as a whole, from the seedling to the field operation, selecting the right solution for each site. We work with manual planting, Pottiputki planting tools, mechanized methods, and robotic technology. On larger areas, we also use robotic technology capable of creating up to four planting holes simultaneously while recording the work locations using GPS. Technology is not an end in itself for us. We use the methods that genuinely make the work more precise and effective for the site in question. Thanks to our own nursery, our expertise extends beyond planting. We know the journey of the seedling from seed to field. We combine this knowledge of seedling production and afforestation with modern working methods. This means we do not simply plant seedlings. We manage the entire afforestation process. We know the seedlings, we know the terrain, and we know how to bring the two together.
